Sgt. Hernandez to Address Lodi Seniors

Sgt. Hernandez of the Lodi Police Department will address the Lodi Seniors Association members after the monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 24, at noon. All those 55 years of age and older are encouraged to join the Association. Lodi residency is not a requirement. Refreshments will be served.

The Lodi Senior Association installed its slate of officers for 2024 in April. Mayor Scott Luna presided over the installation of incoming President Franklin Steffens and Don Stein, outgoing president, as a trustee.

The Seniors meet the fourth Tuesday of the month at noon. Light refreshments are served. The Senior Center is located at 22 Walnut Place (off Passaic Street).

All individuals 55 years of age and older are eligible to join. You do not have to be a resident of Lodi. Dues is $15.00 per year.

Come join in meeting old and making new friends, sharing a cup of coffee and…, playing games, educational programs, outings. It has been proven by research that socialization makes life more enjoyable and adds to well-being.

The Center is open every Thursday for socialization and games. Chair yoga is offered at ll:30 a.m. Bingo games begin at l:00 p.m. Coffee and cake are served after Bingo.

FREE WELLNESS PROGRAM for SENIORS

Public Health Nurses from the Bergen County Department of Health Services will be at the Lodi Senior Center
from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following Thursdays: August 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, Dec. 12.

Services include the following:
Health History Evaluation
Blood Pressure Measurement
Height and Weight
Individualized Counseling an Education
Referral and Follow-Up
Confidential Consultation

You do not need an appointment. Come in, sign the patient register, and await your turn.
